Ruiz 4 Kids noticed that we have some great teachers who have creative ideas for things they would like to do for their classrooms and students, if only they could find the money. And so “Mini-Grants for Teachers” (MG4T) was born.
What is the MG4T Program?
Ruiz 4 Kids understands that limited school budgets restrict teachers from purchasing materials for projects, activities, and even basic classroom needs. This program is designed to help teachers purchase the materials they need to reinforce their curriculum and ease the financial burden many teachers carry.
Who can apply?
This program is available to educators teaching in a public K-12 school. In California, the school must be within a 35-mile radius of Dinuba. In Texas, the school must be within a 50-mile radius from Denison. In South Carolina, the school must be within a 50-mile radius of Florence.
How much are the grants worth?
Grants range up to $1,000.
How is the program funded?
Ruiz Foods team members donate money out of their pay to fund these grants. 100% of their donations go right into the hands of teachers in the community.
Funding Priorities:
- Basic Needs – Essential materials required to carry out curriculum work and meet the basic needs of all students in the classroom.
- Impact – potential to improve student achievement, potential for continuation/replication, potential to enhance instructional skills.
- Innovation – Creativity of the project, innovative approach, academic objective with curriculum context.
- Planning – Clear plan for project implementation, teacher capability, cost effectiveness and a realistic budget.

Thank you for awarding my school the funds to purchase the resuscitation dolls and the Heimlich choking vest last year. We were able to use the equipment to teach over 600 students of our 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Citrus Middle School life saving techniques in CPR and choking methods. We would not have been able to accomplish this without your greatly appreciated generosity.

With the purchase of new Boomwhackers and resonator bell sets, students can experiment with sound and pitch, create melodies and perform and accompany songs. Students have the freedom to express themselves in an exciting, creative way. Their musical talents emerge with such opportunities. Without the support of Ruiz 4 Kids, these experiences would not be possible.
